Leander is on US highway 183, about 10 miles west of the Interstate highway 35. Other nearby roads include the FM 2243, Lakeline Boulevard, and highway 45. All of these provide easy access to nearby towns including Cedar Park and historic Round Rock. In addition, the Capital MetroRail train provides fast and convenient service to Austin in less than one hour. Every year, the city of Leander works to improve upon existing roads and transportation systems to support the growing population.
